Review: The House of Silvanas!

Hi My Little Buddies Lovies!

Uhmmm.... If you are a Filipino, you must try this! Or shall I say, I knew you've tried this already.. Like, eating Silvanas? or Sansrival Cake?

However, if you are not a Filipino, I highly recommend this to everyone! It's a must try once you visit my country (Philippines!).

THIIISSS ISSS!!!

SILVANAS! From THE HOUSE OF SILVANAS BAKESHOP ; I bought this in Robinson's Magnolia since it is the nearest mall that has this shop. For a piece it will cost you P 24.00 or roughly half of a USD.

As you all know, Silvanas is a frozen cookie made from a layer of buttercream sandwiched between two cashew-meringue  wafers coated with cookie crumbs.

Meringue is something sweet that melts in your mouth. So basically, the most popular flavor of Silvanas is "Buttercream" but nowadays we have different flavors to choose from such as Pandan, Mango, Strawberry, Mocha and Chocolate. However, Buttercream is my favorite one. <3

1 dozen of Silvanas costs me P 288. 00 or roughly $ 7 USD , it's quiet pricey but I can assure you that the price is really worth it.

I've tried so many silvanas already, but this one is the best. For some reasons.... The first reason is, this is originated from Silvanas Capital of the Philippines? If I'm not mistaken, which is Dumaguete City! The owner of this shop "The house of Silvanas" is the mother-in-law of the most popular "Sansrival Bakeshop" in Dumaguete City, where you can buy the most delicious silvanas (Based on my survey).

Secondly, it's very tasty. Unlike other silvanas that I've tried I don't actually taste the cashew.. I only tasted the butter. It feels like you're eating an oil and yet the price is higher than this one.

As I took my first bite.. Aww.. I'm so speechless, I love it and I will not stop buying this dessert, I know you will love it too! The taste of buttercream with cashew is just so perfect, it melts in my mouth yet you can still chew it. I know it's hard to explain the taste and the texture, but arghh.. Just come here in Philippines so you could taste it. haha! JK. :))

Also, since it's very easy to melt you need to keep it in frozen to maintain the desired taste.

Rating: 5/5

Pros:

-  Perfect taste
- Worth the price
- Very tasty
- Packaging is good

Cons:

- Hard to find

Hope you guys crave with this review! I mean, hope you guys Enjoy with this review! haha!

My Crazy Obsession!

Hi Buddies!

First of all I would like to ask for a forgiveness about this post, haha! Like what the title itself "Crazy" or somewhat a weird obsession?

This is about my Trash Bin, It's very small and I bought it in Daiso here in my country. I bought it for P 88.00 or around $ 2.50 SGD ; $ 2.00 USD. Then since in my city plastics are no longer available, I don't have any trash bags to use especially mine is very tiny. I haven't seen any plastics that are small and locally available.

Then when we're still in Singapore, we went to Daiso Sembawang branch, Daiso there is such a big store. I love to hoard all the goods! All items for $ 2.00 SGD or P 66. 00 , so much cheaper compare to our country.

Then while looking around. I saw this plastic, transparent and Small and you know what happened? I suddenly stopped and think about my trash bin, and so I decided to buy the plastic since I've been wanting it. I grabbed the opportunity and yes I bought it for $ 2.00 SGD. At first, I hesitated because I was not sure if it fits to my trash bin, that's why I bought only 1 pack of it.

And when we arrived here in Philippines, I tried it and BAAANNGG!!! IT FITS!

Oh my gosh.. >.< I felt sad, I hope I bought like 5 packs of it.. haha.. Then I went to Daiso here and yet they don't sell such plastic bags.. *saadd*

In 1 pack it consists of 90 bags, this one is in SMALL. Gosh, I loved it!

Also, yesterday I was sleeping and dreamed that I'm already in Daiso Sembawang, I'm going to buy these plastic bags when suddenly my sister woke me up. Argg.. >.<

This is my trash bin, the size is only 10 inches in length. It's so cute, I know not all of you will appreciate how I'm so obsessed with this simple trash bin, but I like to pamper it. I don't know why.. I'm just like this.. >.< Forgive me... just for now. :)

See? The plastic bag I bought really fits to my trash bin. haha I find it really cute, I guess the plastic is like my trash bin's clothes. :)

Also, I know that a lot of you will ask about " A girl that loves her trash bin so much? That she pampers her trash bin a lot? "

Thank you for reading my crazy obsession post. Hope you guys enjoy, and I could not wait to read your crazy and weirdest obsession too. I know each of us has it. :)

Review: Nivea Body Milk Intensive Moisture

Hi Buddies!

Since it's already January, we are now experiencing major coldness? I guess? >.< Sometimes our skin tends to be flaky, itchy, and sometimes we no longer tolerate the itchiness and pain. Therefore! A lotion is a must.

Honestly, I'm not into lotion I'm using Dove soap to moisturize my skin. However, due to extreme coldness soap is not enough.

This is the lotion that I'm talking about! :) This is the smallest bottle if I'm not mistaken, it costs me P 99.00 pesos or less than $ 3.00 USD in Robinsons Supermarket.

Nivea has so many variations depending on your skin type and depending on what you want to achieve, since I'm experiencing itchiness on my legs due to my dry skin. I chose this one which is for dry to very dry skin.

This is the texture of the lotion, since it is a body milk intensive moisture it looks like this. Like an Elmer's Glue if you're familiar with that. Like a very thick substance I guess? Since this lotion is for dry to very dry skin therefore it looks like thick because we need more moisture.

The lotion says "Visibly moisturized skin within 7 days!". I'm using this lotion for like 1 week already and I could really see the difference, it made my skin so smooth although my skin tends to peel due to dryness but I no longer feel any itchiness or any pain going on through my legs.

This product also has Vitamin E and Grape Seed Oil that is good for moisturizing the skin.

The product also smells good, I guess all Nivea products are good. There's nothing to bother in terms of the smell.

This lotion is very easy to blend and easy to dry. For 1 week that I'm using it I'm not able to experience any stickiness, unlike other lotions that tend to be sticky once you're sweaty.

I'm so satisfied with this lotion! I highly recommend this to other people that has dry to very dry skin! :)

Also, Nivea is such a good brand of lotion wherein they have categories depending on your needs.

Rating: 4,5/5

Pros:

- Easy to find
- Easy to blend
- The smell is good
- Not sticky
- Effective
- Many variations

Cons:

- Quite expensive

Will I repurchase? Definitely! I will purchase again, I love this product!

Hope this review might help you! Thank you for viewing/ reading!

Basic Info about Singapore! ^.^

Hello my lovely Buddies!

These are the places that we went to when we were still in Singapore.

So we lived here in my brother's condo, somewhere in Woodlands. So the amenities are Swimming Pool, Tennis Court, Gym and Spa..

This is the first place we went to. This is Sentosa or Resort's World Sentosa, we also have Resort's World here in Manila but I haven't went there.

I was really fascinated about their train. It has mechanical doors that have sensors, so once the doors of the train will open the mechanical doors will open as well. This is a good idea to avoid people who wants to suicide, like what happened in other countries.

In Sentosa, that is where Universal Studios located, Unfortunately, were not able to go inside because the ticket is quite expensive.

They also have Casino, Theater.. and many other things.

While were looking around, my brother bought us this. POPCORN! My favorite! But this is from Garrett, I know this brand is very popular in Singapore. Yes, It's very delicious and you can mix n match your own popcorn. this is cheese flavor and caramel. It's quite expensive but it's so great the price is worth it, each popcorn is really coated by the flavor itself.

We also went to their Man-made BEACH! A lot of people swim there, but unfortunately.. we didn't bring any swimsuits. haha but it's okay, I love the sands! It's white.. Although it's man made, you can still feel the presence of a beach. haha

I noticed in Singapore that they love ORCHIDS! They have orchids everywhere, they also love having landscapes in their cities and places. Beautiful orchids, aren't they?

Singapore Flyer

Next place we went to was... MARINA BAY SANDS! but before that, we're here in Garden by the bay which is very near in Marina Bay Sands.. Many flower as well, they also have a Flower Dome, but were not able to get there since were running out of time.

This is very popular in other countries.. Because of the Ship-like building.. Such a wonderful hotel..

This is the indoor of Marina Bay Sands, they also have high-end products here and high-end bag brands such as Hermes, Louis Vuitton , Gucci, Prada, Chanel, and so on..

We celebrated New Year's Eve here because they had fireworks. The fireworks display was good, fireworks were reflected to the glasses of the Hotel (Marina Bay) that created beautiful effects.

I have a video of it, feel free to visit my Youtube Channel. :)

This is the link, kindly click here: Marina Bay Sands 2015

We also went in Orchard, (It's not a farm as what you think xD)

But it's a place in City, where a lot of products, malls.. etc.. everything is almost there..

I want to go back in SG, when I have work already.. so I don't have a reason to limit my money then. hahaha :)

They also have Zoo and Safari, I guess 2 weeks is not enough to travel the whole Singapore, also since my brother has a work we only spent time when it's weekends.

Hope this post helped you, thank you for viewing/reading. Love, love~

How to: Groom Your Eyebrows!

Hi Buddies!

I have here my quick tips on how to groom your brows. Some of us knew that grooming our brows are just basically plucking the hair that grows. Unfortunately, it's not only about that.. Let me show you how I do it.

First, you will need the following items:

- A pair of Tweezers

- A pair of Scissors

- Eyebrow Brush

- Eyebrow Pencil/ Powder

First Step: Plucking

Look for the growing hair especially on the bottom and upper part of the brow. You may outline your brows like what other people do.

You may now start plucking the hair. Start on the lower then upper part.

Tip: If you can't tolerate the pain, you may put an ice on your brows to make it numb.

Second Step: Trimming

Once you're done ridding the hair, you may now get your eyebrow brush and brush your brows upward ( like on the picture ). Then get your scissors to cut the hair.

It will be look like this. Short and clean... Once your brows are already groomed you will now start filling it in. See to it that you don't over cut the hair.

Step Three: Outlining and Filling

I'm using my Nichido's Eyebrow Pencil in Brown. Like on my previous blog post, you need to outline your brows first before filling it in.

Once were done, you may now start filling the center until the tail of the brow and you may now start blending it.

If you want to make an arch, if will fall under the outlining procedure. If you want to do a high arch, or soft arch.

TADAAA!!!.. Applying a concealer or highlighter on your brow bone is optional. Depends on your preference, but for me I don't apply such.. :)

Hope this tutorial might help you, especially for beginners. Because I also noticed other girls that they have long eyebrow hair which I think is not appropriate.. So it's very important to pluck the hair at the same time you trim it.

Thank you for viewing! Hope you guys enjoy!

Food Review: NongShim Shin Ramyun Noodle Soup

Hi Guys!

Are you fond of eating spicy food? Noodles? Then this noodle soup is perfect for you. Especially for asian viewers that I have, this noodle is a MUST TRY!

THISSSSSS ISSSS!!!!

Shin Ramyun in Gourmet Spicy

I don't know if you've seen this already, but yea. Basically, it's just a noodle soup, the packaging is bigger than the ordinary noodles that we've seen in a market. I also saw this in Singapore but 1 pack consists of 5 individually wrapped noodles, (In which.. I know I cannot eat all of it.)

This noodle is a Korean brand, so we all know that Koreans love spicy food.. or even Chinese people, I guess?

Then when I came back here in Philippines, I saw this in Robinsons Supermarket , they sell individual noodles, and yes.. I bought one for myself and it costs me Php 45.50 and so I gave it a try.

Before I purchased this product, I've read so many reviews and all the reviews were positive. I also saw other photos from Instagram that they hoard a lot of this noodle. Woww..

So inside you will have the noodle (in circle ). Sorry I'm not able to take a shot of it, then this Vegetable flake and Powder Soup. You're going to put them together with the noodle in a pot.

So once you're done. You may now take your bowl and .. TAAADDDAAAA!

Ready to eat! Yummy! Based on the review and based on my brother, this noodle is better if you put an egg on it to balance the spiciness..

ERMMM.....

I don't know what to say... IT'S VERY SPICCYY!!!!! >.<
THE EGG DIDN'T WORK! OR, It worked but just a bit? HAHA!

I'm not able to finish this noodle coz I can no longer take it! My mouth is hurting and I started to sweat. hahaha This noodle is so spicyy, gosh.. I always eat spicy food, I love to put hot sauce on my pizza and etc.. I don't know.... I just can't tolerate the spiciness. >.<

ALSO, I'm not able to taste it. Since I can only taste and feel my burning mouth. >.<

OVERALL, This Shin Ramyun is good. Especially if you really eat and fond of spicy food. A lot of people love this and based on the survey in Korea, this noodle is the best seller among all noodles they have. This brand also exports to 80 countries? If I'm not mistaken.

Will I repurchased again? I want.. but like what I've said this noodle is only good for people who are really immune to spicy foods.

I don't have any negative comments about this product.. OH! Yes, I have one.. the CALOOORRIEESS!! Imagine, 1 noodle consists of 510 CALORIES!? haha gosh, After you eat this you need to work out! Aside from that, no more..  Two Thumbs-Up for me! :)

Love,

Michelle

Back to Reality.

Hi there guys! Another story of mine again, let's skip the reviews for a while. So yeah, I went back to the Philippines last January 6, 2015. The flight was good, we experienced just a mild turbulence. Then on January 7th I started to go to school again, to teach of course. (Back to reality, the vacay is now over) T.T

I had fun in Singapore, we also went to Malaysia since it's just very near in SG, and btw, we watched the fireworks display in Marina Bay Sands, I'm going to upload a picture of it. So yes, we went to Malaysia, spent couple of hours., We found out that those goods are quite expensive than Singapore,. Hmm.. And I also noticed the huge difference when it comes to the place itself lol. It's like I'm in PH again haha.

Singapore is really a good country, I want to go there again but like what I've said.. I must have a work so I can earn lots of money so once I'm already there I can now buy things that I want. Haha

Anyway, another thing.. About Air Asia plane crashed., my friend told me (the one who said the news to me) that the friend of his friend was on that plane.. And I realized, very small world. I also noticed based on the articles and news I've read.. People in Indonesia didn't blame any.. They only said that.. If its time already, maybe it is time.. God will decide, because he just gave the body to us, and now we will return it again to him... I realized that.. Yes, they have a point.. We all know that accident is really an accident we should not blame anyone. We must thank God (or whoever your God is) to the memories and happiness that the person brought to us. I know it's difficult to move on.. But I know we will overcome it soon. Just enjoy life and always be optimistic.

Hey wait! You know what, I bought in SG some Peperos! Nothing, I just wanna share this with you guys. Coz here Pepero is quite expensive T.T i don't know why, that't why when I saw Pepero sale in ShengSiong Supermarket I decided to buy it. 5 pcs for $ 3.95 dollars!  I saved $ 2.. I don't know why Philippines don't have this kind of promotion. Yay.. T.T

That's all for today, see you on my next post! Love, love! 😊

What I noticed about Singapore~

It's my 6th day here in Singapore and now I'm running out of money, I could say that my country (Philippines) is not that economically stable like Singapore.

Firstly, people here live either Condominiums or HDB as they say. You can see buildings anywhere, no houses. They also have trains, buses, and cabs. They have a ticket that can be used neither a bus nor a train.

Secondly, all green grasses. I noticed that since they have so many buildings and since this place is civilized, they still want to put an idea of being an eco-friendly country, many trees, many different kinds of birds.

Thirdly, they do laundry in their condos and hang their clothes, I noticed that it's quiet difficult for the clothes to dry. But since they are in to it, I know they already immune in terms of that. I noticed that since they are in buildings, they don't have their own backyard for their laundry. But it's okay.

Fourthly, people here are also good in English. Which is a good thing, so we can communicate with them even we don't know how to speak and comprehend their language.

Fifthly, honestly speaking, products and goods here are quiet cheap, especially vegetables. Because their salary is quiet high, unlike in my country, the salary is low yet the goods are expensive, so the result is poor economy. But this country is different, if you have $ 2000 sgd salary, and you have to rent your house for let's say 350-800 sgd, then you still have how many money to spend with. Sometimes each food is less than 10$ , in 1 soft drinks 1.5 liters it will cost you a dollar only. Imagine, their economy is really good. Isn't it?

Based on my observation, most of the people here have their iPhone 6 or 6+ already. Sometimes at the early age like teens, already have their iPhone, it means that gadgets here are really affordable because their salary made it possible.

Next is, in terms of escalator, people on the left side are the ones who are not in hurry. So if you're not in hurry you stay on the left, because right side is for those people who run for some errands.

Food here are delicious, honestly I want to have a vacation here once I already have my work. Since I'm still a student, I'm not able to have enough money..

Also, driver seat is on their left (once you look the car outside; right once you look the seat inside). As well as their road, is different from ours. There are lots of Filipinos here, since it is very near in my country, only 3 hours and 10 minutes travel time.

Hope you guys enjoy! Love,love,love!
